Villagers Report Tiger Pack Sighting
By: Talk Bangkok
A villager from a remote village outside of Korat reportedly sighted five large cats, which he described as Tigers, on his farm, reports the Bangkok Post. The farmer was tending to his cows in the fields when he spotted five animals that looked like tigers roaming his property. Three had white fur and two had brown fur. He sighted them from 400 meters away and understandably did not get a closer look.

After informing one of the village leaders, men from the village were gathered to investigate and find the animals. They were able to locate the felines and observed that the larger, white creatures were one meter tall while the brown-haired animals were smaller. The animals fled when the group approached.

Local authorities believe the animals may not be tigers, but leopards. Their presence in the area may be due to a wildlife trafficking gang who released the felines after escaping policeman in Khon Kaen province about a month earlier.

The villagers are concerned and want the situation do be dealt with by experts and the cats to be caught.
