Hitler Superhero Mural Irks Human Rights Group
By: Talk Bangkok
A recent mural that has been erected at Chulalongkorn University has caused controversy and attention, reports The Israel National News. The mural depicts Adolph Hitler in the company of superheroes such as Superman and Batman. Interestingly, he seems to be the only non-fictional character on the mural.  The mural is located outside of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts building at the University.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center, a human rights group dedicated to exposing anti-Semitism and educating people about the Holocaust, has spoken out against the mural. They have specifically criticized the University's higher ups for not doing anything and have demanded the mural be removed.

Just last winter, the Wiesenthal Center brought its Courage To Remember Holocaust exhibit to Bangkok's UN Hall. A spotlight has recently been shed on Thailand's "Nazi chic" style after a British news source erroneously reported about a restaurant called "Hitler Chicken." This mural is the newest controversy being picked up by international news outlets.
