Weekend Primer: Gearheads' Dream Weekend
By: Talk Bangkok
This weekend is promising to be packed with events and parties and Talk Bangkok is going to give you the run down on the best events happening this weekend. There is certainly something for everyone whether you like dance or rock, or enjoy good beer and day drinking by the pool. For those of you out there who are car enthusiasts, buckle up!

Dance:

Start your weekend off right with some dance music. Amadeus from the USA will be in town playing his hits at Levels on Sukhumvit Soi 11 on Friday night. Saturday, cool off by the pool at AmBar's Get Wet Go Wild pool party. This day party will have great drink and food specials. After drying off, satisfy your dance craving at Nest who will be playing Dope Classics of dance music featuring over 10 DJs.

Rock:

If dance music is not your thing, you can head over to Bed Supperclub Friday night and honor the music legends of the Forever 27 Club. Musicians who decided to live fast and loose like Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain will have their music played all night long so rockers can remember the good old days.

Drink:

Beervana will be unveiling their newest import, Lagunitas. The Northern California brewery is known for their iconoclastic interpretations of traditional beers and as such, Beervana will be presenting the brew in an unconventional way. The Lagunitas Beer Circus at Niche BeerVille in Lat Phrao will feature shows, games, prizes, and of course beer. The beer flights go fast so get there early.

Drive:

Not after drinking, of course. This weekend is promising for gear heads as it is the final weekend of the International Auto Salon. Car fanatics can expect to see over 40,000 square meters of modified cars and automobile accessories. For those who are lukewarm on automobiles, there is plenty of eye candy with many models on site who will be featured in various shows and car washes. If you like your cars more mobile, you can walk down the street to the D1 Drifting Grand Prix of Thailand. Hundreds of drivers will drift their cars in adrenaline fueled, rubber burning excitement. This is a must see for Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift fans. Both events are taking place both Saturday and Sunday. The Auto Salon will be at Impact Exhibition Hall and the D1 Grand Prix will be across the way at the lakeside lot.
